Yesterday took place the celebration of the “Practical workshop of inertial units and exoskeletons for rehabilitation research” in the auditorium of the Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos de Toledo. This workshop, which took place in the afternoon, was the closing of the day dedicated to rehabilitation robotics within the course “Clinical Experiences with Technologies in Neurorehabilitation”.

We started the workshop with the use of inertial sensors for rehabilitation. For this, and in a practical way, several exercises were performed with the Technaid MoCap system in which we could see the possibilities of gamification that this technology has for use in therapies, obtaining in this way a greater involvement of patients.

In the second part of the workshop, we got down to work, together with the attendees, with the use of the Exo-H3. During this part the attendees were able to both wear the device and control it, to learn about the possibilities that this technology offers in the area of motor rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation.

In addition, we were able to advance to the attendees the new developments that we are carrying out in Technaid, within the RehAnkle project (DIHHERO) in the area of rehabilitation robotics.

We would like to thank the attendees for their participation and the organizers for inviting us to give this workshop. For Technaid it has been a pleasure to have had the possibility to participate in this course and to have been able to show the potential of these new technologies in the improvement of treatments.
